Frequently Asked Questions
I found a repair cheaper, Why should i come to ProTech?
While there’s always someone who can fix your device for cheap, beware of prices that seem too good to be true. A cheap repair from the other guys often involves the cheapest available parts on the market, further damaged devices, and more repairs needed in the long run.
At ProTech, We believe in using top-quality parts and upholding the highest standards to ensure we get every repair right. Our repairs are trustworthy—we use professional-grade replacement parts, provide proper Australian consumer law warranties, and are always there to help with any future issues. Our reviews speak for themeselves.
What should I do if I drop my phone in water?
After you’ve removed your device from the liquid, dry the outside of the phone being careful to not press any buttons. TURN IT OFF and DO NOT PLUG IT IN TO CHARGE If possible, remove the battery to decrease the likelihood of a short and DO NOT PUT IN RICE. Why? 1st, it just does not absorb the water soaking into your mother board and 2nd it give the heavy minerals and calcium in the water a better chance of starting the corrosion process. Bring your liquid damaged item to ProTech and we will gladly take over from there!
Why is my iPhone slower after a Software upgrade?
Older devices have been known to slow down if a recent software update has been installed because the phone’s hardware is not equipped to support the new features of the operating system.
Can ProTech Backup my data?
Yes! If you want to backup data stored on your device, you have come to the right place! Protech technicians provide data backup, data recovery, and data transfer services to ensure you don’t lose any of it all for $99.
